Irene Update

It's been just over a month and I'm still working at getting all those blankety blank trees out of the yard. There is still a lot left to do.

I'm going to have plenty of fire wood next winter.

I've drug piles and piles of debris into the woods. The critters are going to have plenty of shelters come cold weather.

Then there is still the matter of all the broken stuff to deal with. Damn hurricane. It better be our last-at least for a while. I still have crap to clean up from Isabelle and that was back in 2006.

Hot and Cold

There is something new in the yard.

There is also something new where the old heat pump/AC unit used to be.

I'm smiling now,but you should have seen me when I wrote the check for 5 grand to have this baby installed.

Damn It to Hell

Just when we are knee deep in wedding bills the mother *$&#ing furnace decides to stop working. No AC. No heat. No breaks anywhere. Son of a b&#$%.

Spider Man

It's the time of year when the spiders go crazy. Almost every square inch of the place is covered in webs. You have to watch where you are going. If you don't you could end up wearing that scary looking thing in the middle.

What's For Dinner

Yeah, that's me cooking dinner.

I wanted shrimp stir fry and the only way I could get it was to make it myself.

Diving In

The outdoor pools may be closed but the 2011 Football Pool is back in business, hopefully with some high tech (for me) improvements. This morning I got a lesson on cutting and pasting screenshots. We will be using the USA Today lines this year instead of the Washington Post's.
If you want to join the pool leave me a comment on how to get in touch with you. If you participated last year-you're already in!

Happy Labor Day!

Even though I am no longer a part of the workforce I am still celebrating. Daughter and future Son in Law brought over a couple of bags of crabs plus all the other things you need to go with them. It's hard to believe that summer is over. Time sure flies when you're having fun.
