A Day at the Races

 Saturday was the annual Dragon Boat race at the beach. 

Competition was fierce as always.

 This year I knew a paddler. One of those guys in green is a former co-worker's son.

Everyone gives all they can give.

 Even while wearing crazy costumes.

The best place to be is in the water because it is a long hot day.

Finding a bit of shade is not easy on the boardwalk but it's even better if you have a catfish po boy...

...and a local craft beer.

Green Acres

 It just seems like yesterday that we started the garden.

Now we've got a jungle on our hands.

That broccoli was really good. Hard work pays off!

97!

 Mom was 97 on the June 7th.

 Today we gathered for cake and ice cream to celebrate.

 She seemed to enjoy herself.

 Daughter made a card but missed the event because of work. Her hubby showed up.

I made her a card. It's a shaker card. I had to cut out lots of little cupcakes for it.

97 and still going strong. Love ya Mom!
