London Bus

This is my latest model in the works.

One day it will look something like this.

Right now it looks like this.

I put material on the seats instead of the decals.

I carpeted under the seats with stick on felt.

Here is the under carriage is finished.

I painted it the way I wanted.

The engine is also done.

I used glass beads and jewelry wires from Micheal's for a more authentic look.
Right now I am about halfway through. In maybe a month or two I'll have it done.

Spring Planting

My brother and I decided to dig up Mom's side yard and put in a vegetable garden. It was easier said than done.

We tilled in a load of compost and manure. Good times.

A quick trip to Home Depot and we hope we have a rabbit proof fence.

A trip to Southern States and we have a flat of cool weather crops.

My reward was a Ledo pizza for dinner. Hold the veggies.

A Happy Birthday!

Coffee on the boardwalk from Sweet Sue's. It was chilly but the sun was shining.

Stella enjoyed her morning out.

Maggie loves everything.

There has to be silly selfies.

The kids gave me something I really need.

Dinner was cake and roast. Mmmmmm........cake.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This card making thing isn't too bad.

I can say what  I want the way I want to say it.

I can even make my own envelopes.

Mom liked the card I made her.

So did She.

She liked the flowers too but she'll have to wait until tomorrow for the candy.
Happy Valentine's Day!

December Days

I'm still able to get up on the roof and put up the lights.

Every year is a victory if I don't fall off the ladder.

Speaking of ladders, this is how I get the finicky dog to eat these days. It's a good thing she's cute.

Project Shipwreck

I finally used my Father's Day gift certificate.

It's a model. A really big model. It will be 30 inches long when finished.

It's the U.S.S. New Jersey. A model of the only warship that provided gunfire support during the Vietnam war.

 There are almost 1400 pieces.

There are 94 steps of instruction.

Enough to keep me busy for a long time- as soon as I finish the US Navy Landing Ship I'm working on now.

What's Cooking?

I had this idea that putting spaghetti sauce in hamburgers would be a good idea. I added an egg and an onion.

She kept saying I was making a meatloaf but I wanted burgers. Meatloaf burgers.

She thought they would fall apart. So did I but they didn't.

The next night I wanted some steak and some squash.  The grill hasn't been used in ages but I put it to good use. It's been raining for a week and at the first sight of sun I wanted to cook outside.

I had a audience. Maggie and Hoover knew they were about to get something good-and it was. Even the crazy burgers.
